Serge Néel succeeds Georges-Pierre Joret who chaired the association Les Fleurs de la Mémoire for eleven years.
At the Annual Conference on Sunday, April 3, 2022, the incumbent President announced that he would denounce his term on the Board of Directors on April 21, 2022. It’s done. ” Eleven years during which I was able to meet the commitment of the administrators involved in the transmission of the Memory and the tribute paid to the liberators of the Overseas Atlantic and Channel. They were all very supportive and I thank them. This position allowed me to meet beautiful souls in many fields : American diplomacy, American families, Regional Councils, Departmental, Municipalities, O.N.AC, schools, French families… all in their respective fields have encouraged our action : the homage to the liberators (by the flower), the transmission of memory to the younger generations. It is to respect the very ethics of the founders of the association. “As it is in the hearts of men that wars are born, the defence of Peace must also be born from the hearts of men”, while the association nourishes current and future projects with these universal thoughts.
I offer my full support to Mr. Serge Néel, now President, and Mr. Jean-Hervé Lebunetel, who has become Vice President, by remaining a director. “
