The church of Saint-Côme-et-Saint-Damien in Angoville-au-Plain once again hosted a deeply moving ceremony. This historic site, where American medics Robert Wright and Ken Moore saved 81 wounded in June 1944, still bears the traces of the battle. The meeting between a German colonel and an American veteran marked the day as a symbol of reconciliation and transmission. Two commemorative stained-glass windows, dedicated to the 101st Airborne Division, honor the courage and humanity of the paratroopers and the two medics.
