On the afternoon of March 17, a ceremony of homage took place at the American cemetery of Saint-James (Montjoie St-Martin) with the participation of 120 students from the colleges of Saint-James and Pontorson. A led candle was placed on the soldiers’ headstones to illuminate the cemetery for one evening.
Exceptionally, the cemetery remained open until 7:30 pm to allow the population to participate in this tribute.
