On July 9th, the association participated with the family of Second Lieutenant Mc Gowan in the ceremony at the American cemetery in Colleville Sur Mer. 3 veterans attended the burial which took place with military honors and the presentation of the purple heart. The flag that was used as a shroud was given to one of the pilot’s grand nieces.
